Visitors' Quotations from the PLE 2010

"I am very glad I could come to the PLE here in Cologne. Since I am in the e-learning field, the programme was of high interest for me. I am working for the United Nations University and our section provides capacity building training for e-learning in Higher Education. Although the conference is focused on Human Resources there are some overlaps. I was mainly in the Global Learning Track and I really liked that it was very interactive."

Chahira Nouira, E-Learning Assistant, United Nations University UNU-ViE, Bonn, Germany

"I am a senior lecturer at the University of South Africa (UNISA). I found the program especially interesting since business is also involved. My interest was to see what the business world offers and adapt this knowledge to address the needs at university level. We need to take cognisance of the demands that await our students after they have completed their studies and prepare them for the business world after university. This was very well covered at this conference. I think e-learning can assist with lifelong learning, which in the fast-changing world that we live in today is very important to keep abreast with the latest developments. I basically attended all the sessions in the Global Learning section and I found the standard was excellent. I have attended numerous conferences and this conference competes with the best. I find it exceptional well that the conference is combined with the trade exhibition. I talked to experts in the field of higher education and leaders in the business world at the conference and found that basically we are all looking for answers to address contemporary problems."

Dr. Alena van Schalkwyk, Teacher Education, UNISA University of South Africa
